We build accessible sites for clients, so this one is held to the same standard. This statement describes what we have done, how it was checked, and what to do if you find something we missed.
Conformance target
This site aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a target rather than a certification: it has not been independently audited, and we would rather say so than imply a stamp we do not hold.
What has been done
- Colour contrast. Every foreground and background pairing in the palette was checked against WCAG 2.2 before the design was built. Body text on the dark ground measures 20:1; the lightest secondary text measures 5.4:1 against its background. Both clear AA, most clear AAA.
- Keyboard access. Every link, button and control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator at 2px and a 3px offset.
- Skip link. A working skip-to-content link is the first thing in the page, before the navigation.
- Heading structure. Heading order is enforced by the page templates rather than left to whoever is editing.
- Reduced motion. Animation, the scrolling capability band and the scroll-triggered reveals are all disabled when your system requests reduced motion.
- Works without JavaScript. The scroll animations are progressive enhancement. With JavaScript disabled every page renders complete.
- Text scaling. Type and spacing are set in relative units, so browser zoom and larger default font sizes reflow rather than clip.
Known limitations
Contrast, keyboard operation and reduced motion have been tested directly. Screen-reader testing has been limited, and any embedded third-party content — a video player, a form service — is outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
